The notes behind the redesign

We tested our sign-up form with five people. Three paused at the team name field, even though they had not invited anyone yet.

I kept the test notes beside the revised screen. Moving that question into setup gave each change a reason someone else could check.

Keep the decision next to the work that changed.

What would you add to help a teammate understand this project?

Tools when you need them.

Select a passage to format it. Use headings, quotations and highlighted code to explain your point. You can also add a cover before publication.

The toolbar appears above the text you select. Each tool shows its name when you hover it.

Start a draft. Leave it unfinished.

A useful article doesn't need to arrive in one sitting. Keep a piece in drafts and come back to it later.

  1. Get the first version down.

Start with a title, a paragraph or the notes you want to develop.

  2. Your title and text save as you write.

Shapppes saves after a short typing pause. Find the piece in your drafts when you come back.

  3. Choose when it's ready.

A draft stays unpublished until you publish the article.

AI classifies
your articles.

After you publish an article or update its published text, Shapppes assigns topics, detects the language and writes a short summary.

Redesigning a sign-up flow

The form asked for too much before people had seen the product. We removed the optional fields and moved the setup questions to the next screen.

The revised interface design separates account creation from setup. Required account details stay on the first screen; setup questions appear next.

Summary
The redesign removes optional fields from the sign-up form and moves setup questions to a later screen, separating account creation from the details people can add after joining.

Examples of automatic article classification.

Classification starts after publication and can take a little time. AI only organises your text; it never writes or rewrites the article.

One article.More ways to discover it.

The article then appears wherever readers can meet you. Nothing to copy, nothing to repost.

Before you start writing.

Writing, drafts and publishing are part of the free core features.

Do I have to publish what I write?

No. A draft stays unpublished until you choose to publish it. Come back to it whenever you have something to add.

Will AI write or rewrite my articles?

No. After publication, AI assigns topics, detects the language and writes a short summary. The article itself stays in your own words.

Where do published articles appear?

On your professional profile and in the Shapppes feed. If you have a Portal, your site can show them too.

How do I write a case study?

Add a case study from an experience or education on your profile. It opens a draft linked to that role or course, so readers find it in context once it's published.

Can I edit or take a published article offline?

Yes. Changes to your title and text stay in the draft until you update the article. You can also return the article to draft to unpublish it.

Can I add a cover image?

Yes. Add a cover in the editor before you publish. It appears at the top of the article.
