Why I'm making Shapppes.

Hello,

The idea for Shapppes goes back to 2019. I wrote on Medium, kept my work history on LinkedIn, and struggled to keep both up to date. I just wanted my writing and my experience in one place.

So I designed the place where I wished I could do that. I wrote a lot of code, changed my mind, and watched portals and a discovery feed take shape. Then I had less time to spare, and the project sat untouched for a while.

I returned to it in 2025. AI helped speed up development, and the years away had helped me sort through my ideas.

The first version is planned for the end of 2026. I hope it proves useful to you, well beyond my own satisfaction at finally getting this project out.

I'd like your ideas to challenge mine too. The price needs to keep the project going while staying reasonable for the people who use it. I've spent enough time building it alone. Now I'd like to see what we can make of it together.
